Another former WWE star could be the next pro wrestler to step into the MMA cage.

Wrestling Inc. confirmed that former Cruiserweight Champion and current Impact Wrestling star TJ Perkins received an offer from Bellator MMA.

Discussions are ongoing to determine his pay and which weight class he will fight in. A weight class was brought up to him but Perkins felt the weight would be too high for him.

Bellator hoped to have him fight in November but Perkins felt the timeline offered to him was too short.

If he joins the promotion, then he would be the latest in a long line of pro wrestlers who have crossed over into MMA. Those names include Brock Lesnar, Jack Swagger, Bobby Lashley, and Ken Shamrock.

Ironically, Shamrock is doing pro wrestling again with Impact. The two sides are still far from making a deal so there are no guarantees that something will be worked out.
