A boxing referee has hilariously made a fighter leave and re-enter the ring after he originally entered leaping over the rope.

The incident took place during the recent 64 Bocskai István 2020 quarter-finals and a fighter decided to jump into the ring from the outside.

However, the referee approaches the fighter and has a word in his ear before he leaves the ring and comes back in under the second rope.

Check out the video below.

Some fans on social media were quick to comment on the incident and praised the referee for keeping the match professional.

While some believed the referee made an issue out of something meaningless.

It’s safe to say that Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury will have elaborate entrances when they face off in their highly anticipated rematch on February 22.

What do you make of the referee’s decision and do you think it was the right call?
