Tyson Fury is not only keeping the door open to a potential WWE return but also teased an appearance at WrestleMania 36.
While doing a recent interview, Fury mentioned that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon was happy with his performance in the Crown Jewel match, which marked his first-ever pro wrestling match.
“I have been a fan of WWE all my life. I’ve been a big fan of all the big wrestlers. I am athletic enough to be able to learn quickly,” Fury told talkSPORT. “[Chairman of the WWE] Vince McMahon said he has recruited sports stars from all different sports and he has never seen anyone come into their game, have a couple of training sessions, and pick it up like that. I looked like a natural in there! It didn’t go down to well with my management, promoters, trainers, family. Everyone was saying ‘oh the Wilder fight, you are going to get injured’, but the Wilder fight may as well be a million moons away.”
WWE will hold WrestleMania 36 on April 5, 2020, which is going to be held at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
According to Fury, he thinks the door is open to a return and perhaps it will take place at WrestleMania.
“We have left the door open. WrestleMania is coming up in April so who knows – never say never.”
