The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.

WWE Raw Results

In spite of what has been reported as dozens of cases coming from WWE, the show apparently must go on. With that, we got another episode of Raw from the PC. The build to Extreme Rules continues, and we will continue to hear “horror show” a ton in the next few weeks. Two contract signings were scheduled for Monday night. What else happened? We’ve got you covered with the results:

  • Angel Garza & Andrade def. Viking Raiders
  • R-Truth def. Akira Tozawa (c) to win the 24/7 Championship
  • Buddy Murphy & Seth Rollins def. Humberto Carrillo & Aleister Black
  • Peyton Royce def. Ruby Riott
  • Big Show def. Angel Garza & Andrade
  • MVP def. Apollo Crews
  • Bobby Lashley def. Ricochet
  • Sasha Banks & Dolph Ziggler def. Asuka & Drew McIntyre

WWE Raw Takeaways

The crowd was finally allowed to wear facemasks this week. A little late, Kevin Dunn.

This week’s show started with a contract signing. Those historically go well, right? It did lead to a mixed tag main event. Sasha Banks & Dolph Ziggler got the upperhand in the end, and the magnificence of Banks & Bayley continued. These two are two of the best and the world right now. The match between Banks & Asuka is shaping up to be the best match on the card.

It really seems like Randy Orton’s next feud is going to be the Big Show. Two things that led to this show that I didn’t like. One: why is Ric Flair, with his medical history, still there while there were dozens of positive COVID-19 cases? And why did Big Show need to beat two young stars in a handicap match to get some shine? So much that isn’t needed for the inevitable Orton defeat of the giant.

Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson Sign With Impact

The Good Brothers are on their way to Impact Wrestling. Gary Cassidy of Sporskeeda is reporting that a deal has been struck between Gallows & Anderson and Impact (h/t Fightful). The deal apparently still allows the team to still make appearances for New Japan. Both stars have a no-compete clause from their WWE contract that expires on the date of Impact’s Slammiversary pay-per-view. What fantastic timing to bring in Sex Ferguson and Chadd 2 Badd.

Announcements Coming From NXT UK, Renee Young

In the next few days some big announcements are coming from some corners of the wrestling world. The first one is about NXT UK. There is an all-talent meeting called for Tuesday, and it could be about the future of the promotion in the wake of #SpeakingOut allegations against many of it’s wrestlers.

Renee Young also tweeted that she has an announcement coming Wednesday. Let’s hope it’s the return of Talking Smack!

One for the Road:

Be like Kevin Owens. Just wear a damn mask.
