After a disappointing ONE Championship debut, Yushin Okami has a date and opponent for his next fight.

The former UFC fighter is set to face undefeated welterweight contender James Nakashima in Manila on 2 August.

The fight will go down on the ONE: Dawn of Heroes card at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Okami (35-13) is one of the most prolific martial artists to emerge from Japan over the last two decades. He has competed in multiple weight classes with multiple promotions including PRIDE, UFC and Pancrase.

Nakashima (11-0) makes his third appearance with ONE in Manila and no doubt be looking to keep his unblemished record in tact.

Ferocious returns

Also booked for Manila is Team Lakay veteran Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly who meets Chinese standout Xie Bin in a featherweight contest.

Edward Kelly defeats Jordan Lucas at ONE: Union of Warriors.

Kelly (12-6) is best known for his 21-second knockout victory over Cambodia’s Meas Meul in January 2018. He now aims for the same result against Xie Bin.

After losing his debut fight, Xei has gone on win seven back-to-back fights.

Also set for Manila is Thailand’s Pongsiri Mitsatit, who returns against China’s Miao Li Tao (4-1) in a strawweight bout.

Mitsatit (10-2) made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2014 and went on a tear under the Full Metal Dojo banner before signing with ONE.

ONE: Dawn of Heroes takes place 2 August at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

The main event sees reigning flyweight Muay Thai World champion Jonathan Haggerty of defend his title against Rodtang Jitmuangnon of Thailand.
