With this feat, Rohit surpassed Mahela Jayawardene’s world record for the most consecutive double-digit scores in Test cricket.
In the first innings, Rohit played an impressive knock of 80 runs in 143 balls, while in the second innings, he showcased his T20-like batting skills and scored another half-century in just 44 balls.
This achievement marked his 30th consecutive Test match with double-digit scores, surpassing Jayawardene’s previous record.
